Day 01
Overnight Flight to Porto

Depart from Logan International Airport (BOS)


Day 02
Welcome to Porto

Welcome to the second biggest city in Portugal; Sagres Vacations representative will be waiting at the airport and take you in a private transfer to Hotel Ipanema Porto. Your first day in Porto with a tour of the city, visiting the major attractions including; Cathedral of Porto, Train Station of São Bento Station, Lello’s Library, Historic Center (UNESCO World Heritage Site), Port Wine Cellar Visit with Wine tasting and a six bridge cruise in the Douro River aboard one of the traditional “Barco Rabelo”. The remainder of your day is at your leisure, stroll through the historic district, stop in for lunch at one of the many restaurants and cafes on the banks of the Douro River, and enjoy some shopping in “Rua St. Catarina”, the main shopping district in Porto. Day 03
Private Full Day Tour in Douro Valley

Today you will travel to the stunning Douro Valley. Indulge in the world-renowned wineries of Portugal’s Douro Valley, visit stunning wineries nestled into the valley,each with their own sweeping views and high-end wines. Learn about the vast array of varietals grown and fermented here, including Portugal’s legendary Port wine. Enjoy a private wine tasting from the family owned winery estates before retiring back to your Hotel. Includes Private Round Trip Transfers from/to Hotel. (B,L)


Day 04
Celebration of S.John

Today, Porto celebrates its Patron Saint. The St John‘s festival is much loved by Portuguese people of all ages and is very much a family event. It’s a time to get together with friends and family; or take a walk through the streets towards the spectacle of the best firework display in town. The main attraction is the fun it provides as well as the local holiday. It’s a day to put one’s troubles aside and enjoy some fun and laughter. The streets are full of stalls and decorations, music can be heard everywhere and popular songs are sung. Since the weather is usually very hot this time of year, the traditional fare is delicious grilled sardines, green peppers and rice and traditional Portuguese cabbage soup, called Caldo Verde. The smell of grilled sardines fills the city as it radiates from street corners and gardens to restaurants and beaches. Enjoy a spectacular fireworks display which lights up the sky over the Dom Luís Bridge and the Douro river, as thousands of visitors fill the streets below.(B)


Day 05
Private Transfer from Porto to Lisbon

Our Representative will meet you at the Lobby of the Hotel for your journey South of Portugal, to Lisbon. One the way there you will stop in a few small village where you find the essence of this small country. The first will be in the small fishing town of Aveiro, famous for its canals where along these waterways colorful and traditional fishing boats sail. On the way, you will stop in Obidos, one of the most picturesque towns of Portugal. The compact town center is filled with cobbled streets and traditional painted houses, while the solid city walls encircle the entire town. Keep going to our final destination you will have a change to visit Nazare a coast small village and Mafra. In Nazare you will find most peaceful beaches where you will see the biggest waves of the country. Here you will enjoy the a typical lunch and then go to the final destination, Lisbon. (B,L)


Day 06
Private Full Day Tour in Lisbon

Pickup at the Hotel in direction to S. Jorge Castle where you will begin your walking tour, visiting the Cathedral, S. Francis Church and “Baixa” area of Lisbon, where you will enjoy the local shops, restaurants and cafes. Lunch is served in a traditional restaurant, with breathtaking views of Lisbon. After a traditional lunch, we visit the Belem area of Lisbon, where you will find Lisbon’s iconic monuments and enjoy the typical “bolo de belem” A pastry that is now world famous and considered one of Lisbon’s calling card. Day 07
Leisure Day in Lisbon, Fado Dinner Show

Today explore Lisbon, the capital of Portugal on the banks of the Tagus River. Lisbon is an illuminated city, the almost constant presence of sunshine and the River Tagus transforms the Portuguese capital into a mirror of a thousand colors highlighting the city’s unique architecture and beauty. See majestic structures of the Jeronimos Monastery, the Monument to the Discoveries and Belem Tower. Travel through the city's unique neighborhoods: Lisbon Baixa (a chic district with incredible architecture), Chiado, Alfama (the oldest district in Lisbon), Parque das Nações or drive through the city center to behold Parque Eduardo VII.This evening enjoy a special program. A Fado dinner live show in one of the best restaurants in the Alfama neighborhood, where the Fado music born.


Day 08
Private Full Day Tour in Sintra and Cascais

Discover the natural beauty of Portugal on a relaxing tour from Lisbon. Travel to Estoril, Cascais Bay and Hell’s Mouth (Boca do Inferno), and take in views of the Atlantic Ocean on the drive along the Portuguese coast. Continue to the town of Sintra to visit the enchanting National Palace, and admire the Portuguese countryside from your comfortable coach on the drive back to Lisbon Visit Guincho Beach and Cabo da Roca, Europe´s westernmost point. Tour the National Palace in Sintra, afterwards take in views of the lush Portuguese countryside from your comfortable coach before returning to your hotel.


Day 09
Bid "Adeus" to Portugal

Flight back to the US.
